Admission Guide for international students on Chinese Government Scholarship Dali University 2022-2023

In order to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese and the people of the world, and to develop exchanges and cooperation between China and the rest of the world in various fields, Chinese Government has established scholarships for outstanding students, teachers and scholars from all over the world to study or conduct research in Chinese universities.

 

The Chinese Ministry of Education (MoE) has entrusted Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) to be responsible for the admission and management of Chinese government scholarship students.


I. Brief introduction to Dali university

Dali University is an institution approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education to accept Chinese government scholarship students, and will continue to admit full-time postgraduate (Master) students for Chinese government scholarships in 2022-2023 academic year. Dali University has one of the most beautiful campus over China, and is also known as “the university built in landscape”.


II.  Qualifications

1. An applicant must be non-Chinese national, in good physical and mental health and meet the requirement of "Health Screening and Admission Criteria for Foreign Students Studying in China".

2. An applicant should be of good moral character, who will obey Chinese laws and regulations, university rules and disciplines, who will respect Chinese social customs.

3. An Applicant must hold a bachelor degree or above and shall be less than 35 years old (Born after September 1, 1987).


III. Application Procedure

1. Deadline of Application: April 30, 2022

2. Applications are required to complete online procedures at Both CSC application system and Dali University international student service system.

IV. CSC full scolarship policy:

1. Tuition, Registration, Internship and laboratory fees: covered

2. Accommodation: covered

3. Monthly subsidy provided

4. Health Insurance: covered

* The scholarship policy shall be referred to the standard published by Chinese MoE. 


V. Documents to Submit

A notarial copy of Diploma and Bachelor Degree (A graduate can provide a Provisional Certificate/Study Certificate)

A notarial copy of Transcripts

Two Reference Letters recommended by the host institution or employers

A personal statement (Not less than 800 words) written in Chinese or English, including Education background, study/research plan, family background, awards and merits.

A notarial copy of Non Criminal Records

A Valid HSK Certificate (A must for courses in Chinese medium), an enrollee should pass HSK4 for majors in Sciences and HSK5 for majors in Arts, and the score should be no less than 180. A valid certification of English Language ability (A must for courses in English Medium)

A copy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form

A copy of valid passport

VI. Admission and Notification 

1. Dali University will organize admissions interviews based on the applicants undergraduate study background, academic performance, language ability, and research ability, and choose the recommended candidates on the basis of merit, and the final admissions result will be subject to the approval of the Chinese Ministry of Education.

2. Admitted students shall be given Admission Notice, Application form for Study in China (JW201) and Enrollment Guide. Admitted students may apply for the study visa from Chinese embassy or consulate, and register at Dali University only when the Chinese National Immigration Administration releases borderline, due to COVID-19 pandemic.

3. Admitted students can not apply for a transfer or a change of the admitted institution, major and study period.

4. Scholarship will not be retained for the candidates who cannot register before the given deadline without being permitted by CSC.

5. Online registration will be notified separately during the COVID-19 pandemic.


VII. ANNUAL ASSESSMENT

Annual assessment will be conducted every year for all the scholarship students, according to the relevant regulations of CSC. Students succeeded in the annual assessment can be eligible to hold the scholarship continuously next year.


VIII. Graduation and Degree

Standard duration for Postgraduate students (Master) is 3 years, and the flexible duration is implemented with a minimum of 2 years and a Maximum of 4 years (Extended year will not be covered by the scholarship). Diploma and Degree will be given and awarded to the qualified students who succeed the academic study/research and fulfilled the requirement of relevant rules in Dali University within the given time.
